The approach

Our approach: combine practical, ecological and sustainable to make reuse obvious.

Reusable square soup plate - unbreakable plastic dish

The Kio by Re-uz ® small reusable plate is part of a range of eco-designed tableware. It’s a true marriage of design and sustainability. Its small, square format is in keeping with the times, and suitable for meals served at the table or to take away. The range is available in a number of modular formats that can be nested with the lids closed. The containers can be nested and stacked for easy storage: their ergonomic lids provide foolproof mobility.
The Kio by Re-uz ® small square soup plate is made in our workshops. Re-uz ® is a firm believer in short distribution channels: they help reduce the carbon footprint of each product, from manufacture to use by customers.

The Kio by Re-uz small soup plate: practicality in the service of ecology

The Kio by Re-uz ® small soup plate is square in shape. Sober and modern, this plate enhances every dish for dinner, lunch or breakfast!

The Kio by Re-uz ® small soup plate is resolutely practical, thanks to its square shape with 11.52 cm sides. It appeals to caterers and restaurateurs alike. The concept of the range is ingenious because it is modular: the small bowls can be closed using the same lid. They can also be placed on top when the lid is closed. In a system of lugs and inserts to stabilize the stack.

This soup plate has a small 6 cm rim, similar to the rims on the range’s elongated soup plates. At the table, Kio by Re-uz ® tableware coordinates brilliantly.

The edges of this soup plate are slightly curved. The bottom of the container is flat. This flat surface gives it great stability. 4 small 2 mm feet raise the plate.

This plate is sturdy and shock-resistant. It can be handled without risk of breakage. Yet it’s lightweight, weighing just 60 grams.

The plate can be fitted with an airtight lid. The top of the latter features four small notches. These slots are spaced to accommodate the feet of the entire range.

Plates can now be stacked one on top of the other: the legs fit together perfectly. Stacked, the containers are extremely stable. This feature simplifies travel (even at the peak of the service).

Kio by Re-uz ® soup plates are made from food-grade thermoplastic polymer (ABS). Only one material is used in its manufacture, making it 100% recyclable.

The thickness of the walls is such that heat is correctly maintained without risk of burns when handling them. They are thermo-molded from a single piece: extreme resistance to impact: forget about chips and breakage...

A small, practical square soup plate for preparing meals in the kitchen

Kio by Re-uz ® small square soup plates can be stacked like any other plate. In the kitchen, they can be easily stored and tidied away. Their contemporary, designer shape makes them ideal for both open and closed displays.
Extremely strong, they can be arranged in bulk without risk of breakage. These soup plates can withstand cold and freezing, and can be stored in a refrigerator or freezer. The associated lid then becomes a real asset for preserving dishes and multiple preparations prior to serving.

Plates can be placed in the microwave or kept in a hot oven at up to 80°C.

A reusable plate as a showcase for your dishes

The Kio reusable soup plate is both functional and attractive. Its square shape is ideal for small dishes or side dishes. It can also be used to present tarts, sliced tomatoes and other sliced fruit.

A small, reusable plastic soup plate that helps you forget about single use

The Kio by Re-uz ® range of tableware eliminates the need for single-use serving equipment. The range’s containers allow you to limit your impact on the environment. Restaurateurs, caterers, associations, trade show organizers, festivals: all the players in the events and takeaway sectors can use them like no other. They can be reused again and again!

These plates democratize the use and re-use of tableware. Contrary to popular belief, this approach is virtuous and inexpensive. It will then be possible to limit the hidden costs associated with consumables, such as the repetitive purchase of disposable containers or the collection of waste generated by your activity.

The Kio Box community: deposits on the range's containers within a network committed to reuse

Kio Box by Re-uz ® is a community of committed restaurateurs in which the deposit/guarantee system is already widely accepted… And widespread! Within the network, each container is consigned to it: containers can transit through it. Crockery, dishes, lids… travel within the network, as customers use them. How does this network work?

The Kio Box community to promote reuse and share the use of eco-responsible containers

The Kio Box community is made up of a number of retailers who are members of the network. Each of them offers takeaway meals. The containers used are returnable. They are with your brand, but also within the community, where deposits are widespread. The device is illustrated as follows…

Take away ... Back: the return of returnable soup plates and eco-responsible tableware in member restaurants

All the containers in the range are easy to transport. How? Each dish is fitted with an ergonomic lid. This makes transporting or delivering prepared meals much easier. Within the Kio Box community, containers (plates, bowls, trays, containers) are used and reused again and again… in different outlets.

Widespread reuse within the community limits single use… And it builds loyalty! It enhances the image of restaurateurs who are members of the community.

Kio Box by Re-uz ® small and large plates are nomadic: they can be easily transported thanks to their lids. A deposit is required for the purchase of a dish prepared by your customer (takeaway or home delivery). He can then take his meal home. You keep the deposit until the container is returned. Your customers can return their empty, pre-washed plates and other dishes to you. You will then return the deposit he entrusted to you.

Community-based returnable crockery for more committed takeaways

A second alternative is for your customer to return the food to another store in the community. The partner restaurant will then refund the deposit. He will then collect the returnable container. For your part, you keep the deposit you initially entrusted to us.

With this system, you’ll have one less soup plate in your stock … but you’ll keep the unreturned deposit. The plate will have travelled from point A to point B within the network… No container will have been thrown away.

Dishes with lids marked "Kio Box by Re-uz ®" that are passed around the community

The use of reusable containers operates as a closed circuit within the community. Only network members can benefit from shared reuse. This scheme combines mobility with eco-responsibility.

How can I join the Kio Box community?

To join the Kio Box community, complete your application on the site by filling in the few details requested. The Re-uz ® teams will then be able to guide you through the process and explain the system in detail.
Membership of the community is by subscription. It will enable you to be recognized as a community partner.
You’ll receive a communication kit to display in front of your establishment. You’ll also have communication materials to present to your customers.
You can then place your first order for reusable containers. Our teams will deliver them directly to your facility.

If your stock of containers dwindles after an initial period of use, this means that you have a large number of unreturned deposits. You can use these unredeemed deposits to order new Kio Box by Re-uz ® plates and dishes.
If, on the other hand, you have too many plates in stock, Re-uz ® will take them back at the price of their deposit. In this way, the operation is neutral for each partner.

How can I identify the containers in the Kio Box by Re-uz ® community?

Kio Box containers are identified by the color of their lids. Take-away sales require the use of the latter. Only members of the community have this color cover. It is different for purchased and leased containers.
