The approach

Our approach: combine practical, ecological and sustainable to make reuse obvious.

A small square plate that's 100% reusable

The small reusable plate is a key part of the Kio by Re-uz ® range of designer, sustainable plastic tableware. Its small square format is resolutely contemporary. The entire range is available in modular formats of varying sizes. All our dishes are eco-designed. Each container fits into the other. They are therefore easy to store. Ergonomic lids are fitted to the dishes to close them completely hermetically.
The Kio by Re-uz ® small square plate is made in our own workshops. Re-uz ® favors short circuits to reduce carbon footprints and promote proximity.

The Kio by Re-uz reusable tray: practicality at the service of ecology

The Kio by Re-uz ® small plate is right up there with the times: square, sober and modern. It enhances the value of every dish served: main courses, starters, lunches and dinners.

This Kio by Re-uz ® small dinner plate is resolutely practical. It appeals to restaurants and caterers Its square format takes up very little space in the kitchen: 17.72 cm long and wide . Note that the Kio by Re-uz ® range of reusable tableware is modular. Bowls and salad bowls have the same lid format. In this way, dishes can be stacked with lids closed. The lugs on each lid allow the dishes to be interlocked, making them easy to transport.

As with the large dinner plate, the small version has a small 2.50 cm rim. All flat containers in the range have a similar rim height. So Kio by Re-uz ® tableware coordinates brilliantly at the table and on the shelves.

The edges of the plate are slightly curved to prevent spillage. The bottom of the container is flat: 9 cm x 9 cm. This flat surface ensures stability both at the table and when dishes are stacked on top of each other.

For added stability, 4 small 2 mm feet raise the plate. They will fit into the lids of the resealed containers below during transport.

Like all standard plates, Kio by Re-uz ® plates are stackable. They are stackable and interlock when the lid is closed (both with each other and with other containers in the range).

Extremely robust, they can be handled without risk of breakage. They are extremely resistant to mechanical and thermal shock.

This plate is lightweight, robust and shock-resistant: it weighs just 116 grams and is unbreakable.

This small plate features an ergonomic lid identical to other tableware items in the range. The top of the lid features 4 small notches. They are spaced to accommodate the feet of other containers in the range.

Plates can be stacked on top of each other: the feet fit perfectly into the notches. Other containers in the range can also be positioned here. Stacked, stability is extreme. This feature simplifies travel (even at the peak of the service).

A small, flat plate for meal preparation in the kitchen

Kio by Re-uz ® square dinner plates can be stacked like any other plate. In the kitchen, they can be easily stored and tidied away. Their contemporary, designer shape makes them ideal for both open and closed displays.
On their return to the kitchen, they can be arranged in bulk without risk of breakage: they therefore enable smooth, fast service “without tweezers”. These plates can withstand freezing: they can be placed in a refrigerated cabinet or in the freezer. The lid has been designed to allow the preservation of dishes such as cold meats, pies or cakes.

Plates can be placed in the microwave or kept in a hot oven at up to 80°C. They are also dishwasher-safe.

Kio by Re-uz ® small plates are made from food-grade thermoplastic polymer (ABS). They are made from a single material. This single-material design makes them 100% recyclable.

Thick walls make plates extremely rigid. The flexible lid makes the whole unit airtight, and helps preserve the food served.

All plates are thermo-molded in one piece for extreme impact resistance. All crockery is modular.

Forget single use: the reusable square plastic plate is made for you

Kio by Re-uz ® reusable plates make it possible to forget single-use disposable plates (made of thin plastic or cardboard). Restaurateurs, caterers, associations, trade show organizers, festivals: all those involved in events and takeaways can use them to limit their impact on the environment.

These small platesdemocratize the use and reuse of eco-friendly tableware. Contrary to popular belief, this approach is virtuous and inexpensive. It will then be possible to limit the hidden costs associated with consumables, such as the repetitive purchase of disposable containers or the collection of waste generated by your activity.

The Kio Box community: deposits on reusable dishes and containers as part of a committed eco-responsible network

Kio Box by Re-uz ® is a community of committed restaurateurs in which the deposit/guarantee system has been set up… and is widespread! Within the network, every plate, dish, salad bowl, etc. is returnable. Dishes and lids alike pass through the network. They truly follow the movements of the customers who use them. How does this network work?

The Kio Box community: sharing crockery to promote re-use

The Kio Box community is made up of a number of retailers who are members of the network. They all have the same business: takeaway food. The containers used are consigned within the network. They will be within your own brand, but also within the community. So the instructions are widespread. The device is illustrated as follows…

Take away ... Back: the return of returnable plates for reuse

Each container in the Kio range is easy to transport. How? Thanks to ergonomically designed lids. Within the Kio Box network, Kio by Re-uz ® containers (plates, bowls, trays, containers) are used and reused extensively.

Widespread reuse within the community limits single use and builds customer loyalty. This system enhances the image of restaurateurs who are members of the community.

Kio Box by Re-uz ® small plates are nomadic. Thanks to their lids, they can be easily transported by users or delivery personnel. When purchasing a dish (takeaway or home delivery), a deposit is required from your customer. He can then take his meal home. You will keep the deposit until the dish(s) are returned.
Your customer can return the empty, pre-washed container to you. You will then return the deposit he entrusted to you.

Returnable crockery from a community of committed restaurateurs

A second alternative is available to your customer: return the dishes they’ve used to another store that’s part of the community. The partner restaurant will then refund the deposit initially paid. The partner restaurant will take back the returnable container. For your part, you keep the deposit you initially entrusted to us.

With this system, you’ll have one less plate in your stock… but the deposit you don’t return will be kept by you. The plate will have travelled from point A to point B within the network… No container will have been thrown away.

Plates and lids identified within the community

The use of reusable containers operates as a closed circuit within the Kio Box community. Only members of the network can benefit from shared container reuse. This schemecombines mobility with eco-responsibility. We can talk about eco-mobility.

How do I join the Kio Box community?

To become part of the Kio Box community, complete your application on the site. With just a little information, the Re-uz ® teams can help you get started, and explain the system in detail, so that it’s best suited to your business.
Membership of the Kio Box community is by subscription. It will enable you to be recognized as a community partner restaurateur.
You’ll receive a communication kit to display on your storefront, as well as communication materials to present to your customers.
You can then place your first order for Kio reusable containers. Our teams will deliver them to your facility.

If your stock of containers dwindles after an initial period of use, this means that you have a large number of unreturned deposits. You can use this volume of unrecovered deposits to order new Kio Box by Re-uz ® plates and dishes.
If, on the other hand, you have too many plates in stock, Re-uz ® will take them back at the price of their deposit. In this way, the operation is neutral for each partner.

How do you identify a returned plate as coming from the Kio Box by Re-uz ® community?

Kio Box containers are identified by the color of their lids. Take-away sales require the use of the latter. Only members of the community have this color cover. It is different for purchased and leased containers.
